  2. PreAP Lunar Phases Project grading criteria:  This project will count as much as a major test grade.  You’ll be evaluated by your peers on a 1-5 scale in each of the following areas, so please make sure your project covers each of them:
    1. Clearly explains what each phase looks like from Earth
    2. Clearly explains the location of the Sun, Earth and Moon for each phase
    3. Clearly explains the direction of Rotation and Revolution for both the Earth and Moon
    4. Clearly explains the terms waxing and waning
    5. Rate the overall quality of the model, demonstration or video
    6. (Remember, you can earn extra credit for explaining both types of eclipses and/or both types of tides in your project)
  3. 1N Force and Motion (part A).  Use the following links as you work through the assignment:

  1. Newton’s Laws with marbles and dominoes.  Compare marbles activity with Newton’s Cradle Simulation.  Record successful demonstrations.
  2. 1N Force and Motion (part B).  Use the following links as you work through the assignment:

  1. Make-up tests (Earth-Moon Systems)
  2. Newton’s Laws with marbles and dominoes.  Compare marbles activity with Newton’s Cradle Simulation.  Record successful demonstrations.
  3. Combine and complete 1N Force and Motion Parts A, B & C
